This listing is for a vintage underkimono made for a young girl to wear under her festive kimono to a formal event. Only about a quarter inch of the white collar would actually show to the public.

The white silk features a floral design with each blossom floating within the wavering lines of the tatewaku motif, which symbolizes purifying steam. Lined with white silk.

Although it makes a striking display, it is still quite wearable - but please check the measurements against the child to confirm the fit before ordering. Kimono run small and remember that some of the length would be taken up at the waist when belted.
